What’s Your Favorite Piece of Workout Fashion?

Some of the Highland Fitness Member Models!
I was invited by Highland Fitness in Eau Claire to present workout gear insights as a presentation during their Results Weight Loss Party. I met with Kelly the Weight Loss Director at Highland Fitness to discuss the presentation. We knew that working out with friends was fun and great motivation for members. We also talked about how wearing new workout gear during exercise can not only make you happy but can boost self esteem and be motivating as well. That being said we thought it would be fun to find out what some local favorite fashions were within the club. We decided that having a Fashion show starring their members wearing their favorite pieces would be an interesting way to highlight what is new and trending. This show was so fun and confirmed that expressing your individual style can make you feel comfortable and confident while working out.
Members of all ages, sizes, and fitness levels showed off their favorite pieces and several retailers were featured. Garments were purchased from a variety of stores including TJ Maxx, Kohls, lululemon, Shopko, and even Menards! Proof that athletic wear has gone mainstream and can be found at most retailers.
What we learned:
- Black will always be a favorite color but it can be stylish with various designs or shades of black, gray, and maybe a dash of color. Solid pieces can include inserts of mesh and sheering or can include texture to make them interesting.
- Neon and bright colors are on trend and can be used as the main color or used as a pop of color to add a little spice to a monochromatic look.
- Being comfortable no matter what your style is the key to staying motivated and keeping up on your workout schedule.
- Tops with V-Necks will elongate a body.
- Yes, you can wear horizontal stripes!
- Sport your favorite fitness center gear in a cool wicking material🙂
- Watch for details such as ruching, ruffles, and ties! Super cute!
- Instead of laces consider hickies! I had never heard of this product before; click here to learn more. It may not be what you think!
The next time you meet your weekly workout goals consider a non-food reward and add a fun new piece workout gear to your fitness wardrobe. Go ahead; show off the results from all of your hard work!
