Kids Yoga – Keeping Kids Zen

March 30, 2020 by Kim Larsen Filed Under: Fitness, Yoga

kids yoga, Dancer Pose

Your kids aren’t in school and you’re trying to work from home. Everyone is feeling the anxiety of being cooped up inside the house.  Help your children relieve some of their stress and anxiety through yoga movements made to allow the body to feel better and help calm the mind.

When I had the request for children’s yoga videos I was stumped. I hadn’t taped any videos for children personally, and since I don’t have children I wasn’t completely sure what would keep the attention of little ones. After a bit of research, I found these three. Each YouTube channel contains several videos. The videos are playful and cartoonlike so they should not only motivate your child to get moving but they will keep them interested at the same time. Video lengths vary from just over 1 minute to almost 2 hours!

3 YouTube Videos Featuring Kids Yoga

  1. Cosmic Kids Yoga – Playful and cartoonlike Videos. Video length varies between approximately 9-15 minutes each. When I researched yoga videos for children, hands down this channel popped up more than any. There are several videos on the Cosmic Kids YouTube channel to choose from including our #3 below!
  2. Katie Koral – Kids Yoga, Mindfulness, Music, and Movement – Shorter videos with most under 5 minutes. She also has several videos to choose from. Try Yoga Freeze Dance Version!
  3. Cosmic Yoga Kids Yoga based on Movies Marathon. Another adventure from the Cosmic Kids YouTube Channel. This one is 2 hours and 49 minutes!

Wishing you and your kiddos less anxiety and more joy each day.
